One of the main reasons of destruction is the occurrence of disasters. But these disasters are noting compared to the resiliency of Filipinos, but for us to easily cope up with disasters the best thing to do is to be prepared. We Filipinos has the power to smile and has the strength to easily cope up when downfalls and circumstances come to our lives. A unique characteristic of us Filipinos that is surely remarkable, for these attitudes of us shows our un-dying resiliency which is astonishing in a sense that whatever circumstances that we may face, we always choose to be optimistic and view the positive side of life.

“Kahandaan sa sakuna’t peligro para sa tunay na Pagbabago.” The theme for this year’s National Disaster Resilience Month strives us to be ready at all times in order for us to surpass the different dangers that disasters could bring in our lives. The theme also exemplifies that we can achieve real change if we are prepared for any threats and hazards that could be brought by disasters, because the resiliency of Filipinos is not only based on how we rise and stand on our feet once we fall on the ground, but it is also based on how we prevent for further damage, destruction and casualties that disasters might bring. Having to conduct these kinds of programs are very essential, for our resiliency are being improved in every step because of the different programs that provides us the knowledge and skills to cope up with the effects of disasters in our lives.

Disasters are things that should be taken and treated seriously, but in order for us to surpass the problems that it might bring, our knowledge and preparedness is our key to safety.

ows that every year we are challenged to be healthy and fit in many terms and aspects. As the theme for this year’s celebration “Kumain ng Wasto at maging Aktibo, push natin to!” portrays, it shows the essence of consuming the right and appropriate foods that are needed by our body to have a healthy lifestyle. And it also shows the importance of being physically active like conducting and doing different kinds of exercises and recreational activities in order to maintain a lifestyle which completes to body in having a balance, healthy and happy lifestyle. The celebration also focuses in the campaign against unhealthy and non-beneficial activities that that could lead in different diseases which are very harmful to our health. The main aim of this celebration is also to convey the different messages in conducting different health related activities, which are really helpful in order to encourage and urge the students to have a fit and healthy life. And because of this celebration, the youth is now being informed of the different benefits and things that should be done in achieving a healthy and happy life and also to avoid the detrimental things that are caused by the unhealthy habits that are being done in our everyday lives.

Earthquakes cannot be predicted and detected. They cannot also be forecasted just like the weather, and you cannot tell when or where it will occur and cause damage. With the help of the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, we are now being aware of the things that could happen when an earthquake occurs and that specific natural phenomena that urges our nerves to be prepared is that the expected strike of the so called “The Big One”. In order to gain more knowledge and experiences in coping and to be safe and ready for this phenomena, the conduction of this activity has really brought us significant knowledge and experiences in dealing with these kinds of situations. With these kind of activities and programs which is led by the NDRRMC and spearheaded by the different government agencies and local organizations around the country, we are now being aware of the different risks and consequences that may happen when we are not ready and prepared. These conducted programs and activities made us realize that yes, earthquakes cannot be predicted, but we can lessen the casualties and life-alarming effects of this phenomena.

So, let us put to our minds and hearts the importance of being ready and prepared in any time of our lives. Because ye we admit that we cannot control mother nature, but let us carved to our minds and hearts that we can change our fate and destiny if we are prepared and ready.  Sir we know that you are doing anything in order to make our country progressive and peaceful, your different projects really helped us a lot in many aspects, but does your project specifically your company against drug project really helped who those who are in need? We are all aware that you are doing this project in order to help our country, but is killing really the reason in order to achieve the success of this project? According to different records, the Philippines is now facing a really  huge  problem because of the Extra Judicial Killings. Killings that is really stepping the rights of humans.                                                                                                  

Yes, the different projects that are being rendered are really helpful, but all of these beautiful projects that you have done and currently working on will now be over-shadowed by the human right concerns of one of your largest projects. This is a challenge, for the things that you’ve done successfully are now fading, for they only see your steel fist not your soft heart which is only doing these projects for the betterment and for the progress of the people of the country.

More than a century had past, but the screams and frowns of the Filipinos are still being heard. Striking of bullets and prints of blood are still being reminisced time after time. But the thing that we will remember forever are the people behind those hardships that paved the way for our freedom at the present time.

Independence Day is yearly celebrated around the country every 12^th day of June. A celebration that is very significant in the lives of every Filipinos. For it is the day when we had achieved our one and only desire during the different colonization, and that desire that strove our ancestors to fight for the rights as true citizens of our country is that, it is because we want freedom in our hands. A lot of Filipinos lost their lives in order to make our independence possible, they have undergone many hardships and struggles just for the independence of us Filipinos. So this day is such a significant day where we remember and praise the various sacrifices and struggles done by our ancestors. Because they had been the key that opened various doors in order to achieve our own desired life in the present time.

As time flies, we may be brought up by progress and change, but the thing that we will remember endlessly in our hearts as Filipinos is that our ancestors, no, our Heroes paved us the way in a brighter and better life. A way which we owe them for the rest of our lives.
